“What’s goin on?!” Jamal demanded.
“Someone must’ve set off an alarm!!” Yuri replied.
“I’m too feckin old for dis!” Grandma grumbled as they ran.
“No!” Adam cried, “No! Not when we’re so close!” He grasped Merrick’s hand.
“Hurry!” Belinda called, “Dey arr coming!”

Entity Adrift: Chapter 3David opened the front door. After his dogs had gone speeding through, he waved his guest over and told him to look outside. Stepping into the doorway and gazing out, Lucas softly gasped and was instantly filled with wonder. He had seen the outdoors through the windows and in the darkness of night, but now he saw it clearly. They were surrounded by vivid, green trees. Above, the sky was a piercing, light gray, with clouds that seemed never to end. The wind brushed gently against the leaves. Thrushes called nearby. Other birds chirped and whistled clearly in the distance.Entity Adrift: Chapter 3 by Tales-of-Torment
The fresh air was slightly cool and, David noticed, it made Lucas’s arm hair rise… Although, he could not really be sure if it was the cold air that caused it or just the world he was looking at. More curious than the rising of his hairs, however, was the strange flash in his eyes. It was not a figurative flash—Lucas’s eyes went from yellow, sparked, and turned golden… but for only a momen
The Let's Kill Some Gays Constitutional AmmendmentCalifornia is stereotyped as the archetypal liberal bastion, and home of homosexuality. Well, considering the republican party has been in the super-minority (not just minority... they don't even have enough numbers to obstruct) for a few election cycles now, that's probably a pretty accurate description. Nevertheless, people often forget that there are pockets of uber-conservatism in California (it's a huge frickin' state). One of the local CRISIS cell members recently proved that (thanks to lisa-im-laerm for the acronym for ChRIstian State of Idaho and the South!).The Let's Kill Some Gays Constitutional Ammendment by PyrrhusiVictoria
California, like several other states, has a citizen initiative process - basically, a way of allowing amendments to the state constitution to come directly from citizen proposals, rather than just through the state legislature. Citizen initiative organizers must draft a proposal, pay a $200 processing fee, and then accumulate 365,000 signatures. If they succeed in that, the proposal appears
Gay marriage will destroy America! On the contrary, homosexuality declined right around the time when various empires were on their deathbeds. Rome, for example, didn't ban homosexuality until the last century or so before its fall. Similarly, China banned homosexuality in the 19th century as part of the Self-Strengthening Movement; the Chinese Empire ended a few decades later. If anything, the decline of empires is associated with exclusive heterosexuality, not homosexuality. If America wants to avoid decline, allowing gay marriage is exactly what she needs to do!Gay marriage will destroy America! by fiskefyren
